Transforming Your Organisation from ‘Toxic’ to ‘Welcoming’
Spearker: Bob Bowen, The Mandt System, Inc.
Mr Bowen will present on two topics:
From Control to Cooperation: Changing Violent and Abusive Organizations for the better
This presentation explores the violence and abuse in workplace relationships at an interpersonal and an organizational level within Human Service Organisations. He outlines a model to identify such violence, and a process to start changing organizations from toxic to healing settings.
De-escalating potentially aggressive & violent situations between patients/clients/service users and staff.
Rather than “deal” with people who use aggression, this presentation outlines a model to respond, not react, to the aggression of others at a non-physical level that has been demonstrated to increase the safety of service staff and users.
